WHY DESIGN AS CAREER ? In the present scenario designing is a highly developed field calling on Creative technically trained experts who are imaginative & artists. Designing demands good acumen in planning and precision for shaping products, creating offsets and optimizing functionality. Career in design range from Graphics, Animation, and Fashion, which has now expanded to various other specializations like automobile, textile, craft product, film making, ceramic, apparel, jewelry design and the list is endless. Design has become an important area of rapid business development and growth. It is a medium to distinguish products in market. It is equally important in comparison to the matter of rendering services. Creativity has opened new vistas for young generation’s creative designers to make handsome money and fame by pursuing career under different “Design Streams”. ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS Passion towards the subject Dedication to work hard and explore An aptitude for drawing / sketching School Education till Class 10th. AREA OF STUDIES Graphic Fashion / ApparelTextile Design Institute's Entrance Exam Prepration Creative Workshops  Photography SESSION TIMINGS The student can option for either of the following batches: 10 to 1 a.m. 12 to 3 p.m. 3 to 6p.m. (Applicable from Monday to Friday) Saturdays - Special modules for group discussions, film screening, workshops etc. Design Foundation This constitutes the first two semesters of the course. The student is introduced to different materials and techniques. The assignments are focused to surface out the inherent skills of the student, which are further polished by the guide. Various assignments to understand the play of colour and composition bring forth the student to the foundation of 'Design' and its relation with the environment / surroundings. Sensitize the students to surrounding Creative Workshops Idle hours can be converted into an interesting learning experience at Varia Institute. Various kinds of short-term courses are offered, ranging from sketching & drawing, illustration techniques, hand weaving, crochet, bead work, hand embroidery, tie & dye, screen printing, lino printing, silk screen printing, knitting, macramé etc. Each participant is introduced to a subject and is led through the various stages of development skills and takes it forward towards Creative projects. ACHIEVEMENT & SPECIAL ACTIVITIES Varia DDesign regularly organizes exhibitions of students and professional work. The basic objective is to expose students to Exhibition Design and take them through the process of execution of a well planned show. This generates confidence and hence giving them practical experience. We have got an overwhelming response from the general public over the past few years, which have resulted in receiving numerous projects from various individuals and organizations as a reward. Varia DDesign aims to form a community of people who belong to the art and design world and have common and genuine interest to explore, create and share their experience and work. This will bring synergy and help one shift from their paradigm and create the unimaginable impact to this world.
